LCSW Supervision

You've got your LMSW.  Now what?

If the answer to that question is "I want to achieve the next level of professional certification, refine my clinical skills, and increase my marketability as a mental health professional" then clinical supervision is the next step in your journey. I am a Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners approved clinical supervisor and I am currently accepting supervisees.

Clinical supervision is a relationship between a board-approved LCSW supervisor and a supervisee that should encourage growth, reflection, and critical thinking as it relates to your interactions with clients. I strive to build a good working relationship with supervisees that stresses mutual respect for each other.  I believe in creating a supportive environment that nurtures professional development, whether you are straight out of graduate school or have been in the field for years.  I consider myself to be a practitioner that continually strives for cultural competence, and you can be assured that multiple perspectives will have representation during the supervisory process.

During supervision, you can expect that we will review cases that you are working on, further develop your professional identity and refine your diagnostic and intervention skills.

If you are interested in LCSW supervision, please contact me so we can schedule a meeting to evaluate whether we are a good fit for each other.  During this 30-45 minute meeting we can review goals, expectations and I can answer any questions you may have about the supervision process.

You can expect to meet at least twice per month for a total of at least 4 full hours per calendar month as outlined in the Texas Administrative Code.  Supervision for a LMSW working full time typically lasts for two years. My supervision fees are as follows:

  • Individual Supervision: $75 per hour

  • Group supervision: $50 per hour
